We were approached towards the end of 2017 to consider the extension and refurbishment of this charming former workers cottage.

It became obvious from the outset, the interior should stand back and let the style of the creative clients, and their collection of furniture and objects do the talking. The palette of materials were kept simple and clean to celebrate the warmth of the antique timber furniture. Furthermore, new structure was expressed internally forming a further shelf space for objects and pieces.

Externally we combined a specialist natural untreated zinc that will develop a dull grey patina over time with large timber glazing. The result is a light, airy and relaxed space that creates a nice balance between old and new.
